HIYA
DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR-BLACK AND WHITE
Senior
Hi, my name is Hiya (because my original rescuers thought that my chirp sounds like I'm saying "Hi Ya!"). I was living in a big cat colony for the past few years, but it was really hard for me. I'm not a huge fan of other cats, and I got picked on a lot. Some very kind people that worked with me decided I wanted to live in a home instead, where I could retire in style! I'm now in a foster home and loving the fact that there are a lot less cats hanging around, and I can spend my day sleeping on my big dog bed. I'm really just an old grumpy man; I don't have any teeth left (but I eat my dry food without a problem), and I'm sweet but shy. I don't have a mean bone in my body, but I'd prefer to be an only child or to live with other cats that can just leave me alone. Mostly, if I have a bed to snuggle on and a person to visit with me every now and again, I'll be happy as a clam! HIYA IS A PART OF OUR HOSPICE CARE PROGRAM; CARES4PETS WILL CONTINUE PAYING FOR HIS BASIC MEDICAL COSTS FOR THE RIGHT OWNER.

GINGER
DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR
10-12 Weeks
Hi there!! My name is Ginger. I was named after the “Movie Star” on Gilligan’s Island and a movie star is what I am! It is no wonder I am the drama queen of the group after having to grow up with my brothers. As much as they try and bully me, I certainly stand my ground. When I feel like it I allow them to play with me, when they start to bore me I will seek refuge with my mom. Sometimes they can be so annoying! In my opinion, girls rule and boys drool. In order for me to leave my spoiled home I require a cute fluffy bed, ample amounts of toys and maybe a collar that sparkles. Since in my opinion I am totally worth it! If you have room for a lil’ girl that deserves only the best and will settle for no less I’m the one for you!
UPDATE: My brothers both got adopted, and now I'm all alone and waiting for my forever home to come along... My foster mom found us living under an abandoned house when we were little and since that was no place for us to live she brought us to her house. She has done a good job raising us from when we were only a month old, but now that we are getting big and strong it’s time for us to go to our forever home. We’ve been raised in a home with little dogs and adult cats and we get along with them pretty good. Sometimes when mom brings home a new foster dog it takes us a little bit of time to warm up to them, but once we do, we are bossing them around in no time. So we are all pretty animal friendly in case our new homes already have a pet or two, we would fit it just fine. Since we didn’t have a great start to our life, sometime in new situations we are a little bit scared and it takes us a little bit to warm up to new situations. Once we do though we are just like any other fun-loving, rambunctious kittens.

BLOSSOM
DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR
YOUNG - Born in 2011
Hi guys!!! I'm an outgoing, friendly ~6 month old gray tabby girl with a perfect blaze and four stockings, and I'm just blossoming with personality! (Did you get that, it's a pun on my name!!!)
I was dropped off at a high kill animal shelter as a stray. I quickly made friends there because of my sparkling personality, but my fans and the veterinary staff noticed that I was limping. They checked me out and discovered that my hip was dislocated. The shelter did not have the resources to help save my leg, so a few of my fans reached out to Cares4Pets for help. Cares4Pets took me under their wing, and did a neat surgery to help my hip. The surgery is called a femoral head ostectomy or an FHO surgery where the top of the femur (leg bone) is removed and a 'false' joint naturally forms there in its place. The result? They tell me I will have full use of my hip and won't be in pain anymore! That's a 'win' in my book! My surgery was done last week, and I'm already running around on my new leg like a champ!
I'm in foster care now while I bounce back from my surgery. I live with another playful cat whom I absolutely adore. I love all my toys, but feather toys have a special place in my heart. I could play all day, but if you're interested in snuggling, I'm happy to oblige. I'm lap-sized and petite, and my foster mom says I purr like a little motorboat. I especially like head and chin scratches.
Even while I had my bum leg, I used my litterbox all the time and loved my scratching tower.
So now that I'm pretty much recovered, I'm ready to go to my forever home... Could you make a little room in your home for a pretty little lady?

STAR JONES
DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR
YOUNG - Born in 2011
Hi there!! My name is Star Jones an 8 month old ball of energy. I know what you must be thinking…just another black cat. Well that couldn’t be further from the truth. I am a Star in my own right with a larger than life personality! I got my name because even though I may appear all black I actually have a star shaped white spot in the middle of my chest. I used to live on the streets when I was younger until a nice lady allowed me to come and live with her. Now I live in the lap of luxury, at least compared to my old life. I spend my days playing with my other kitty doggies friends, playing with my favorite toys, and when I need some rest curled up in my favorite bed by the window. As much fun as those activities are my favorite thing to do it spend time with my foster mom, I love to be scratched behind my ears and to be a lap kitty. So if you happen to have an empty lap that needs to be filled let me know. I’m the perfect fit! Hope to meet you soon!

FIG
MAINE COONE
ADULT - Born in 2009
Being one of 199 cats is tough, especially when you are a kitty that needs some TLC! I should know, and so should Cares4pets since when I came to them a few months ago, I was skin and bones and on death's door. I'm a really special cat, but I have some special needs too. I may not be the smartest cat on the block, but I am by far the nicest. I LOVE attention of any kind, and will climb up your pantlegs to get it if you're too slow! I've got a great Maine Coon personality; I love to play, and I never stop talking! My foster mom loves to wrestle with me too! I am not afraid of anything, and I'm pretty sure that everyone and everything just wants to be my friend. I will play with dogs and cats and people if they'll let me! But I can also be a tough cat to own; I'm on a special diet and medication for my IBD (my foster mom says its why I had diarrhea for so long) and am doing great on it, but it's something my new home will have to continue. I also have some orthopedic issues, probably from being malnourished for so long; I can't jump as high as other cats, and I have trouble getting in and out of tall litter boxes. But if you'll be patient with all of my special needs, I promise to be the best cat you'll ever own. Think about it, ok?

YOUNG - BORN ON DECEMBER 22, 2011
Hi There! We are Porkchop and Petunia, brother and sister kittens that are 6 weeks old and boy are we cute! One day our momma was living on the streets and wasn't doing so well. A nice lady began to feed her and noticed her belly was starting to grow. The nice lady brought our mom to the vet and found out she was pregnant with us. So long story short, the nice lady brought our mom to live with her and a week later we were born. Holiday Babies born on December 22nd, the best present anyone could have ever wanted! So here we are six weeks later, we are strong, healthy and driving both our real mom and foster mom crazy! We love to play, we wrestle with each other and sometimes gang up against our foster dog brother. We eat and go to the bathroom in the litterbox all by ourselves. In the next couple of weeks we will be ready to go to our forever home. Here's a little bit more information about us!
Porkchop: Male. More white than Black. Smudge on nose.I loves to eat, hence my name and to play with anything that moves, that includes tails, drapes, feathers and feet!
Petunia: Female. More Black that White. Tolerates playing with her brother, but really loves to snuggle with momma or her foster mom.
If interested in adopting one of us, please contact Cares4Pets for more information. Please remember we won't be ready to go home until approximately the 2nd-3rd week in February!

Hi There. My name is Isadore, but my friends call me Izzy for short. I'm a +/- 8 month old Calico/Tortie seeking my forever home. Even though I'm only 8 months I've already lived a busy life.My story started a couple of months ago when I was scrounging for food and a nice lady began feeding me. I delivered my babies on December 22nd and they are quickly growing up and will be going to their forever home soon. I have been a great mom, but now it's time for me to be the one being pampered! I am very outgoing and love people. I love to be pet and played with and have lots of attention. If you have room in your heart and home for me, I promise you won't be disappointed.
